Vintage Notes

The 2016 Vintage was typical of Marlborough with long dry spells of warm days for ripening and cooler nights toward Autumn, perfect for developing the classic Marlborough Wines.

Low yields; hand harvested; whole bunch pressed.
Fermented in old oak predominantly and aged on lees allowing natural malolactic fermentation with very little winemaker intervention.

Food Pairing

Pairs beautifully with smoked chicken pasta, antipasto platter and roasted pork belly.

It’s gorgeously fruited and richly expressed on the nose showing golden peach, mango, vanillin oak and subtle butterscotch notes. The palate displays excellent weight and generous mouthfeel, beautifully complemented by creamy texture and well-balanced acidity, making it fabulously drinkable.
